Noticify — Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
Noticify is a Shopify app that lets merchants add product warnings, safety notices, and required acknowledgments to their Shopify stores. Noticify is operated by Spark Studio.

2. What Information We Collect
From merchants (store owners)
When you install Noticify, we store:
- Your store's
.myshopify.comdomain — to identify your store - Shopify access token — used only to authenticate API calls to your store; stored in our access-controlled database and never exposed to your storefront or to third parties
- Warnings you create (title, message, display settings) — to serve them on your storefront
- Product and collection IDs you assign warnings to — to know which pages show a warning
From your customers (storefront visitors)
- Noticify does not store customer names, email addresses, customer IDs, cart tokens, or session identifiers in the application database.
- It records only anonymous, aggregate counts — how many times each warning was viewed and how many times each acknowledgment was clicked.
- Hosting infrastructure may process limited technical metadata, such as IP address or browser user agent, solely to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- Noticify does not use this information for tracking, advertising, or profiling.
3. No Cookies or Tracking
Noticify does not place tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics scripts on storefront visitors.
4. How We Use Information
We use information solely to:
- Display your warnings on your storefront
- Provide anonymous view and acknowledgment counts in your dashboard
- Respond to legal compliance requests (GDPR webhooks)
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained while Noticify is installed. When you uninstall the app — or when Shopify sends a shop data erasure request — all data associated with your store is deleted automatically, unless we are legally required to retain it.
6. GDPR Compliance
Noticify supports Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks and responds to them automatically:
customers/data_request— a customer asks what data is held about themcustomers/redact— a customer asks for their data to be erasedshop/redact— a store's data is to be erased after uninstall
Because Noticify does not store customer personal data, customer data requests return no personal information. Shop data is deleted on uninstall or on a shop/redactrequest, unless we are legally required to retain it.
7. International Processing
Noticify relies on third-party service providers to run the app. Your data may be processed and stored in the United States or other regions where these providers operate. Wherever data is processed, it remains protected under this policy.
8. Subprocessors
Noticify uses the following third-party providers to operate the app. We do not sell data or share it with advertisers.
- Railway — cloud hosting, application hosting, database hosting, and infrastructure logs
- Shopify — the platform and API provider used to install and operate the app
9. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). Access tokens are held in an access-controlled database, are never exposed to browsers or third parties, and are deleted when you uninstall the app. We do not log request payloads containing customer data.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" and "Last updated" dates shown on this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of Noticify after an update means you accept the revised policy.
